A Simpl Shortest Path Checker Verification
نویسنده
چکیده
Verification of complex algorithms with current verification tools in reasonable time is challenging. Certifying algorithms compute not only an output but also a witness certifying that the output is correct. A checker for a certifying algorithm is a simple program that decides whether the witness is correct for a particular input and output. Verification of checkers is feasible and leads to trustworthy computations. In previous work, we verified checkers from the algorithmic library LEDA using the interactive theorem prover Isabelle/HOL as a backend to the automatic code verifier VCC. More recently, we showed that verification can be carried out completely within Isabelle/HOL and compared this to the previous approach. We concluded that the more recent approach is more trustworthy with comparable efforts. Here we implement a shortest path checker algorithm for graphs with nonnegative edge weights in the imperative pseudocode language Simpl. Moreover, we use the more recent framework and formally verify the checker using Isabelle/HOL.

Verification of Certifying Computations through AutoCorres and Simpl
Certifying algorithms compute not only an output, but also a witness that certifies the correctness of the output for a particular input. A checker program uses this certificate to ascertain the correctness of the output. Recent work used the verification tools VCC and Isabelle to verify checker implementations and their mathematical background theory. The checkers verified stem from the widely...
متن کاملGraph Model for Chinese Spell Checking
This paper describes our system in the Bake-Off 2013 task of SIGHAN 7. We illustrate that Chinese spell checking and correction can be efficiently tackled with by utilizing word segmenter. A graph model is used to represent the sentence and a single source shortest path (SSSP) algorithm is performed on the graph to correct spell errors. Our system achieves 4 first ranks out of 10 metrics on the...
متن کاملTraffic Engineering with Rerouting in Diffserv Mpls Networks
An important aspect of traffic engineering is the re-optimization of network resources. In this process, traffic over a congested path is rerouted to a new path to improve efficiency in network resource utilization. The aggregation nature of DiffServ MPLS networks often gives rise to long-lived flows within the network. A rerouting mechanism that supports the tearing-down of old connections and...
متن کاملA New Algorithm for the Discrete Shortest Path Problem in a Network Based on Ideal Fuzzy Sets
A shortest path problem is a practical issue in networks for real-world situations. This paper addresses the fuzzy shortest path (FSP) problem to obtain the best fuzzy path among fuzzy paths sets. For this purpose, a new efficient algorithm is introduced based on a new definition of ideal fuzzy sets (IFSs) in order to determine the fuzzy shortest path. Moreover, this algorithm is developed for ...
متن کاملTwo optimal algorithms for finding bi-directional shortest path design problem in a block layout
In this paper, Shortest Path Design Problem (SPDP) in which the path is incident to all cells is considered. The bi-directional path is one of the known types of configuration of networks for Automated Guided Vehi-cles (AGV).To solve this problem, two algorithms are developed. For each algorithm an Integer Linear Pro-gramming (ILP) is determined. The objective functions of both algorithms are t...
